Use this channel to identify Kroger households with media delivered directly to their house via U.S. Mail.

You can use Direct Mail Solos to feature your brand and your brand’s message to targeted households with customized creative and timing aligned with your objectives.

Select Options

  1. Select a Commodity Code.

    This is where the product featured falls in the Kroger hierarchy.

  2. Select Yes or No for Has the Category Manager Approved This Campaign?

    If Yes, enter the name of the Category Manager.

  3. Select your Analysis Package.

    This action determines how Kroger evaluates the impact of your mailer. Silver and Platinum packages evaluate based on Redemption, Participation, and Sales Lift. The Platinum package also includes two (2), four (4), six (6), or eight (8) Custom Analysis Panels.

Populate Schedule

Add Coupons

Select Yes or No to answer, "Is this channel driving to a coupon?".

  • If No, proceed to Targeting.

If adding a coupon, you'll need to perform some more coupon-related tasks.

  1. Use the dropdown to select any State Exclusions for your coupon.

  2. Use the calendars to select Coupon Display Start and Expiration Dates.

  3. Review Divisions and selected coupon UPCs Universal Product Codes.

Enter Targeting

  1. Enter your Desired Circulation The number of households where the coupon is sent..

  2. Select an answer to the question, "What is the primary initiative of this channel?".

    • Awareness — Introduce and raise awareness of your brand with targeted customers

    • Consideration — Raise consideration of your products with targeted customers

    • Conversion — Increase conversion of your products with targeted customers

  3. Create your Audience Segments.

    • Enter a Segment Name.

    • Click Add UPCs.

      For full instructions, see Add UPCs.

    • Select an Audience Segment to be used with this channel.

    • To add more audience segments, click Add Audience Segments and repeat previous actions.

Set up Creative Version(s)

  1. Choose which Audience Segments to include in this creative version.

  2. Select Yes or No to answer, "Will This Mailer Include a Product Sample?".

    If including a product sample, your Milestones timeline will adjust.

  3. (Optional) Enter Comments or Guidance for this version.

    If creating multiple versions, enter a comment describing the differences between versions.

  4. Click Add UPCs to add promoted product UPCs.

  5. Select answers to, "Which divisions should be included?".

    These selections indicate where this version of the mailer is sent.

  6. Select Yes or No to answer, "Are any of the promoted products New at Kroger Introduces new items to Kroger customers with offers targeting category-relevant householdss with highest propensity for trial.?".

    New products must be on-shelf for at least 30 days prior to Campaign start date to ensure they are available to customers.

    If Yes, enter the On-Shelf Date for the products.

  7. (Optional) Click Add Another Version to create additional creative versions for your Campaign.

  8. (Optional) Repeat the steps above for each additional creative version.

Save Campaign Details

After you enter all of your Campaign Details, click Save.

You can click Save at any time and return to finish your Campaign Details later, if desired.

View report

A wrap report is delivered after the Campaign ends. Performance of Direct Mail Solo is highly variable based on your objectives, reach, targeting, and the offers.
